WE CAN STOP THE MOVEMENT!
Stop the Movement is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that exists to eradicate human trafficking in Tampa Bay through education, awareness, and community.
VISION
This idea started after a twelve month research project to determine the severity of the issue of human trafficking is in Tampa Bay. Multiple organizations across the spectrum were consulted. Relationships were formed. Gaps were identified. And Stop the Movement was born. Our desire is for this organization to be community of activists that believe that change in possible in our lifetime, that people deserve basic human rights, and that none are free until all are free.
Sara LaChance is an advocate for social justice and women’s rights. She has been involved in the anti-trafficking fight from a distance for many years and felt prompted to do more. God laid a vision on her heart where a community of likeminded individuals came together to create real and lasting change in Tampa Bay. Human trafficking affects us all whether we know it or not. She believes that we cannot sit silent any longer without doing something. This is an assault on our children, our future, our worth. It starts with us, and it ends now!
